Weetabix chief welcomes Bright Foods takeover
China's Bright Food company has bought a controlling stake in Weetabix in a landmark deal that values the company at £1.2bn.
The company has been making cereals at its plant in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, since 1932.
Chief Executive Giles Turrell said the deal with Bright Food had secured the company's future.
