Plans for new independent cinema go on show

Plans for a new independent cinema in Northampton have gone on show to the public.

The proposed "Cinepod" will adjoin the existing Royal and Derngate Theatre in the town.

If it gets the go-ahead, the 100-seat cinema, which will show art-house, classic, world film and documentaries, will open in summer 2012.

The plans will be displayed in the theatre's foyer until Monday 31 October.
