The death of a care home resident, which led to the arrest of a member of staff, was "consistent with choking", a post-mortem examination has revealed.

The woman, who was in her 80s and has not been named, died at Heathcote residential home in Unthank Road, Norwich on Wednesday night.

A care worker from the Hethersett area was arrested and bailed on Thursday.

Police said further tests would be carried out before a formal cause of death was confirmed.

The results were expected to take several weeks, a spokeswoman added.
