Snettisham to Heacham coastline repair work begins

The Environment Agency has started work to repair a stretch of coastline damaged by December's tidal surge.

The natural shingle ridge between Snettisham and Heacham protects thousands of caravans and holiday homes as well as a nature reserve, but was shifted by the sea.

Almost three months later, the reserve at Snettisham has not completely reopened due to flood damage.
