Gorleston church chancel bill shock for parishioners

Hundreds of people living near a Norfolk parish church have been told they could be liable for its repairs under a law dating back to the Middle Ages.

Nearly 900 homes in Gorleston have received legal letters warning they could have to pay for work on St Andrew's Church under a law called Chancel Repair Liability.

The letters have generated anger and resentment as Kim Riley reports.
