Care Minister Norman Lamb (Lib Dem) said the East of England Ambulance Service faced a critical 12 months after a damning new report into its performance.

Dr Anthony Marsh, chief executive of the West Midlands Ambulance Service, was commissioned to write the report because of concerns over the trust.

The North Norfolk MP (Lib Dem) said the trust needed to ensure it stopped wasting money and invested in frontline services to improve its results.
