Great Yarmouth: Woman's body recovered from River Yare

The body of a woman has been found in a Norfolk river.

Police were called to the River Yare at South Quay, Great Yarmouth, just after 08:00 GMT on Thursday after the body was spotted.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said: "The body of the woman was recovered from the water shortly afterwards.

"At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained but at this time there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances."

The spokesman said the coroner would be informed.
