Three arrested in Norfolk after fatal crash near Diss

Three men have been arrested after a car passenger was killed in a road traffic accident in Norfolk.

The collision, involving a Ford Transit Tipper van and a Renault Kangoo, happened at 16:00 GMT on Saturday on the B1077 at Shelfanger.

A young male passenger of the Renault suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

Three men, aged 20, 27 and 59, were arrested at the scene in connection with the crash.

A second man in the Renault suffered serious injuries while another man and woman suffered slight injuries.

All have been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The occupants of the tipper van were not injured.

Road closed

They have been taken into police custody for questioning.

The road was closed for several hours and was reopened shortly after 20:00.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information concerning the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the crash.

Officers are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a red lorry seen in the area prior to the collision.

Witnesses are asked to contact Norfolk Police.
