A district council leader is to be buried alongside the wife he is suspected of shooting before turning the gun on himself in Norfolk.

Police believe Keith Johnson, 58, killed his wife Andrea, 44, outside their home in Cromer.

Mr Johnson, who led the Conservatives on North Norfolk District Council, was found with the shotgun by his side.

A joint funeral will take place at St Peter and St Paul Church in Cromer on 21 December.

Despite the deaths, Mrs Johnson's parents John and Janice Chadwick have said they feel "no animosity" towards her husband.

Detectives from Norfolk Police are continuing their investigation into the deaths to prepare a file for the coroner.
