Romanian mum and son crash inquest opens in Norfolk

A Romanian woman and her baby son died from injuries sustained in a road accident in Norfolk, an inquest has heard.

Ionela Cercel, 20, and her one-year-old son Yanis were in a BMW that crashed into a tree on the A134 near West Dereham on 23 September.

A post-mortem examination showed Ms Cercel died from "multiple injuries". Tests were not conducted on the boy.

The inquest at Norwich's coroner's court was opened and adjourned.
