Gold medal winner JJ Applegate 'still in a dream'

Help

Paralympic swimmer JJ Applegate swam through the pain barrier after surgery to win her gold medal.

The 16-year-old, from Belton near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, ticked off a personal best, a British record and a Paralympic record in the 200 metres freestyle.

She says her mother first took her swimming to use up her excess energy.
