Arminghall woman dies after suffering head injuries

A 34-year-old woman who suffered serious head injuries at a house in a Norfolk village has died in hospital.

Angela Crompton was found by police in Arminghall Lane, Arminghall, near Norwich, on Monday.

She was first taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and then transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, where she died.

Thomas Crompton, 39, of Arminghall Lane, Arminghall, has been charged assault with intent to cause GBH.

He appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court earlier, before he was remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Crown Court on Tuesday 26 June.

A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to find the cause of Ms Crompton's death, said police.
