Great Yarmouth man dies following pub assault

A man has died after being assaulted outside a pub in Great Yarmouth.

Ian Church, 40, from the town, died in hospital on Monday night after the attack outside the Bricklayers Arms, on Nelson Road Central, early on Saturday.

Two Great Yarmouth men, aged 24 and 29, appeared at the town's magistrates court earlier charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

A 43-year-old man, who was also arrested by police, has been released on bail.

A post-mortem examination was due to be held later.
