Sandringham Estate death: Police receive more than 50 calls

Police investigating the murder of a teenager found dead on the Queen's Sandringham Estate have received more than 50 calls from the public.

Alisa Dmitrijeva, 17, was discovered by a dog walker in Anmer, near King's Lynn, Norfolk, on New Year's Day.

Detectives said they were pleased with the public response.

Further tests are continuing to find out how Miss Dmitrijeva died. Officers think she was murdered within days of her disappearance in August.

A multi-lingual poster has been created in an attempt to get information from the Lithuanian and Latvian communities.

The Latvian-born teenager had been living in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

A Norfolk police spokeswoman said: "We are continuing to appeal to the public to establish Alisa's movements between midday on 30 August and midnight on 6 September.

"We are pleased with the response from the public so far, having received over 50 calls."

The last confirmed sighting of Miss Dmitrijeva was made at around midnight on 31 August in King's Lynn.
