Liverpool sex attack and robbery: Second youth charged

A second youth has been charged following an attack on two people in Liverpool.

Police said a man, 23, and woman, 20, were attacked on Saturday night as they left Mersey Kebab shop on Dale Street.

The man was forced to make a cash withdrawal and hit with a bottle while the woman was sexually assaulted.

The 17-year-old male from Litherland was charged with attempted rape, assault and robbery and is due before Liverpool and Knowsley Youth Court.

A 16-year-old boy from Huyton was charged with attempted rape, wounding and robbery on Tuesday and appeared before the same court.

The victims were both treated at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and later discharged.
