Man charged in St Helens murder investigation

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found at a house in Merseyside.

The body of Paul John Tully, 35, was found at Beacon Grove, St Helens, in the early hours of Thursday following reports of an assault.

Jamie Hughes, 33, of no fixed address, is due before Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates' Court.

Another 33-year-old man arrested on Thursday has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
