A memorial service has taken place to mark 100 years since a passenger ship which was sailing to Liverpool sank in the Saint Lawrence River in Canada.

About 200 crew members from Liverpool were among the 1,000 people who died on the Empress of Ireland when she sank.

Liverpool Parish Church held a service for those who died, Andy Gill reports for North West Tonight.
