CCTV images showing a cyclist being deliberately knocked from his bike by a car have been released by the police.

Greater Manchester Police said the blue estate car drove intentionally into the back of the cyclist, "slamming him to the ground".

The incident happened on St Mary's Road, Hyde, at 14:15 GMT on Saturday.

Det Con Darren Byrne said: "This was a deliberate, shocking attack against an innocent man, who was lucky to escape more serious injury."
