Oldham fan stabbing at Liverpool FA match: Man arrested

A Merseyside man has been arrested over the stabbing of an Oldham Athletic fan after the club's defeat to Liverpool.

The victim was stabbed after Liverpool's 2-0 FA Cup win over Oldham on 5 January.

The man in custody has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and section 18 wounding.

Eleven other men were arrested in raids in Wallasey, Bootle, Old Swan, Kirkby, Huyton and Maghull as part of a crackdown on football hooliganism.
