Southport death: Daughter charged with mother Clancy Durkin's murder

A woman has been charged with murder after her mother's body was discovered at a house in Southport.

Clancy Durkin, 55, was found at the property in Guildford Road at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday. She died from asphyxiation, a post-mortem examination found.

Her daughter, Rebecca Durkin, of Guildford Road, Southport, will appear at South Sefton Magistrates' Court on 10 January.

The 19-year-old has been remanded in custody.
