Knotty Ash murder: Man arrested over friend's death

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he flagged down a police car saying he believed his friend had died following a row.

Merseyside Police said the man was picked up at about 04:30 GMT in Park Road, Toxteth, Liverpool.

Officers found the dead man, 46, at a house in Dalemeadow Road, in the Knotty Ash area of the city, about six miles (9km) away.

The arrested man told police the pair had a row in the early hours of Friday.
