Arrests after shots fired on Liverpool street

Guns, ammunition, money and "a significant quantity" of drugs have been seized by police after shots were fired on a street in Liverpool.

Six men and two women are being questioned over the incident on Rosebery Street in Toxteth on Friday.

Two men were arrested nearby on Dorrit Street and four men and a woman were arrested at a house on Upper Parliament Street.

Another woman was arrested at an address on Princes Avenue.

Merseyside Police said they were all arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of drugs.
