Boy seriously hurt by scrambler bike in Bootle: Second arrest

A second man has been arrested after eight-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was knocked over by a scrambler bike in Merseyside.

The boy was hit by a bike in Beatrice Street, Bootle, on Tuesday. Police said the rider and a rider of a quad bike driving alongside it failed to stop.

A 21-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury due to dangerous driving.

Merseyside Police has already arrested a 20-year-old man on the same charge.
