Triplet jailed for pushing sister out of window

Gillian Velloza Gillian Velloza was given an 11-year extended sentence

A triplet who left her sister paralysed after she pushed her out of a second-floor window has been jailed.

Gillian Velloza, 24, attacked her sister Louise during a row at Step One North West in Lower Breck Road, Anfield, Liverpool, in April.

Velloza, of no fixed abode, admitted grievous bodily harm with intent.

She was jailed for eight and a half years, with an extra two and a half years to serve on licence, by the judge at Liverpool Crown Court.

The sisters had a "turbulent" relationship, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

Senior crown prosecutor Jackie Lamb said: "They had a row and Gillian pushed Louise out of a second floor window.

"She suffered serious injuries which have put paid to the love of her life - playing football. She will never be able to play again."
