Man, 19, accused of raping woman, 55, in Runcorn

A 19-year-old man has been charged with raping a 55-year-old woman in Runcorn.

Thomas Russell, from Runcorn, was remanded in custody by North Cheshire Magistrates′ Court charged with three counts of rape.

Mr Russell was also accused of one count of making threats to kill and one count of burglary. He is due before Warrington Crown Court on 14 October.

The charges relate to an alleged incident at an address in Sandy Lane, Runcorn, early on Saturday.
