Guns, bullets and drugs seized in Titan raids

Four people have been arrested after guns, bullets and drugs were seized in raids on properties in Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

Detectives from Titan - the North West Regional Crime Unit - recovered drugs from a house in Liverpool and weapons and ammunition from a Manchester house.

Det Supt Jason Hudson said: "A large number of dangerous weapons have been taken out of circulation."

Three men and a woman were arrested by police.

Police said a self-loading pistol, a torch modified to fire a bullet (a similar device was also found in a car outside the property), almost 100 rounds of ammunition, a stun gun and several other weapons were found at a house in Bronington Close in Sharston in Wythenshawe.

A further search at a storage facility in Stockport, uncovered several hundred rounds of rifle ammunition and a large knife.

Cannabis and white powder believed to be mixing agent for class A drugs were found at a house in Sandon Street in Toxteth.
