Seventh arrest over shooting of Jason Osu in Wavertree

A seventh person has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Merseyside man as he was parking his car on his driveway, police have said.

Jason Osu, 31, was shot five times on 19 November at the Beauclair Drive and Woolton Road junction in Wavertree. He died a week later in hospital.

A 47-year-old man has been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Four men aged between 21 and 53 and two women aged 24 and 49 are also on bail.

They were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Mr Osu was a currency trader and held a pilot's licence.

Merseyside Police described the shooting as a targeted attack.
