Police investigating the murder of a currency trader have released CCTV images of a man they want to question about a stolen Audi A4 S-Line used as a getaway car.

Jason Osu, 31, was shot five times in his car on 19 November, at the Beauclair Drive and Woolton Road junction in Liverpool.

Mr Osu died in hospital a week later from his injuries.

The Audi had been stolen in St Helens two months before the shooting.

The two men who shot Mr Osu at 17:30 GMT first fled in a stolen Citroen C4, with false number plates. It was later found burning in Wavertree Nook Road, Wavertree.

The second car was the Audi, stolen from the Queens Park Leisure Centre in St Helens, which was also fitted with false plates. It was found burning in Halsnead Avenue, Whiston.

Det Supt Mike Shaw said: "I would like to appeal to the man in the CCTV or anyone who knows him to come forward.

"This car was stolen two months before the shooting and there must be someone out there who knows where it was being kept or used during that time."

Six people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering Mr Osu and released on bail.
