Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell denies child sex charges
Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has pleaded not guilty to 19 sexual offences against a child.
Mr Le Vell, 48, of Hale, Greater Manchester, appeared under his real name Michael Turner at Manchester Crown Court.
The alleged offences include six charges of rape, six of indecent assault and seven of sexual touching.
The actor, who plays Kevin Webster in the ITV soap, was bailed ahead of a trial due to start in September.
He has played the role of the garage mechanic for 30 years, making him one of Coronation Street's longest-serving cast members.
The alleged offences date between 2001 and 2010.
