Netherton street attack: Five teenagers bailed after man shot in arm
Five teenage boys, arrested after a man was shot in the arm on Merseyside, have been released on bail.
Police were called to Marian Square, Netherton, at 18:30 GMT on Sunday where they found the 26-year-old with "not life-threatening" injuries.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, section 18 wounding and robbery.
Another 14-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 17-year-old boys were arrested earlier on Monday.
The man was believed to have been shot after approaching a group of youths in the street who he thought had taken his sister's bicycle, police said.
A force spokesman said the man was "shot once in the arm and the group of youths fled the scene leaving the bike behind".
The victim has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
