Man arrested after fatal crash in Wirral

A man has been arrested following a crash in which another man died in Wirral.

Police said a man, who has not yet been identified, was found dead in a blue Renault Megane car which had crashed in Hooton Road, Willaston, early on Tuesday morning.

A 26-year-old man from Liverpool was later arrested in Prestatyn, Wales.

He is being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and burglary, Cheshire Police said.

Anyone with information about the crash, which took place just before 01:00 GMT, is urged to contact police.
