Man charged over attack on pregnant woman in Liverpool

A second person has been charged over an attack on a pregnant woman stabbed in the grounds of a Liverpool school.

The woman, 28, was stabbed repeatedly at Lister Primary School in Green Lane, Stoneycroft, on Thursday.

Christopher Dean, 39, of Stoneycroft, was charged on Saturday with assisting an offender.

Andrea Dean, 39, of Stoneycroft, appeared before magistrates on Saturday charged with attempted murder and attempted child destruction.

She was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Mr Dean appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court earlier.

Both are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 26 November.

The victim has been discharged from hospital to recover at home. Her baby was unharmed, police said.
