Beatles world singing record set in Liverpool
A choir of more than 1,600 Beatles fans gathered in Liverpool to set a new world record marking 50 years since the release of their first hit, Love Me Do.
The group met at the Pier Head at 12:00 BST to sing rounds of the song, which reached number 17 in the charts when it was released on 5 October 1962.
The record of 1,631 people singing in a round was confirmed by a Guinness World Records adjudicator.
The previous best of 897 voices was set in Chicago in 2011.
