An 18-year-old man has admitted the manslaughter of a teenager in Wirral, but denied her rape and murder.

Appearing at Liverpool Crown Court via videolink, Adam Lewis, of Fairmead Road, Moreton, also admitted burglary and arson in a separate incident.

Hannah Windsor, 17, from Birkenhead, was found dead near the observatory on Bidston Hill on 19 May.

Mr Lewis was remanded in custody to reappear at the court on 19 November for trial.

A post-mortem examination found Ms Windsor died from multiple injuries.
