St Helens residents mop up after flooding


Ten residents in St Helens had to be moved from their homes in Blackbrook Road after the River Sankey burst its banks.

They were evacuated from their houses by firefighters using inflatable rafts.

The flooding also affected the junction with Westend Road, not far from the Ship Inn.
