Liverpool Biennial art festival 2012 opens


A contemporary art festival taking place in galleries, museums and on the streets has opened in Liverpool.

The Liverpool Biennial 2012 presents work by 242 artists in 27 locations across the city.

Pieces include a nightclub door complete with a bouncer, reflecting celebrity culture.

More than 600,000 visitors are expected to visit the exhibitions, which run until 25 November.
