Marcos Ringle case: Man and boy in court

A man and boy have been remanded in custody charged with the attempted murder of a boy who was seriously injured when thieves stole his bike.

Marcos Ringle, 16, suffered serious head injuries during the theft in Coronation Road, Crosby, on 15 July.

Martin McCaig, 22, from Walton, and the 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via videolink.

Their next hearing will be on 30 November at Liverpool Crown Court.

The bike Marcos was riding at the time of the attack was found a day later in Roxburgh Street, Kirkdale.

It had been a present for his 16th birthday.
