Boy, 16, dies in scrambler bike crash in Bromborough

A 16-year-old boy has died after he came off an off-road scrambler motorbike in Wirral.

The teenager was riding the bike on Riverwood Road in Bromborough when he lost control and came off the bike and hit a lamppost.

He was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital where he later died.

The area was cordoned off while the vehicle was removed from the scene. Merseyside Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them.
