Bootle shooting: Men arrested over 'targeted attack'

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting on Merseyside which left a man with chest and leg wounds, police have said.

A 29-year-old man was shot at by four men while sitting in a car in a Bootle car park on Friday in what police said was a "targeted attack".

A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life was later bailed pending further inquiries.

Another man, 19, remains in custody.

The injured man was treated in hospital for bullet wounds to his chest and leg.
