Wirral priest Peter Hooper admits 10 child sex offences

A Roman Catholic priest from Wirral has admitted sexual activity with an underage boy.

Father Peter Hooper, 55, pleaded guilty to 10 charges involving sexual activity with the teenager and inciting him to engage in such activity.

The former parish priest of St Luke's Church, Bebington, will be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on 15 June.

Shrewsbury Diocese had already withdrawn the priest from active ministry prior to his court appearance.
