In pictures: Sea Odyssey giants' second day in Liverpool Titanic event

The Sea Odyssey spectacular, which tells the story of a little girl whose father was killed on board the Titanic, is taking place in Liverpool over three days.

The second day of the spectacular began with the Little Girl waking up at Kings Dock and walking through the city centre.

At her tallest she reaches nearly 30ft (9m), walking at a speed of 2.5km/h.

The giants are the latest spectacular from French street theatre company Royal De Luxe, who moved the giants by means of a system of ropes operated by its members.

In Mission Impossible style, the Little Girl's Uncle jumped over the Liverpool Chinese Arch - the largest outside China, standing at 50ft (15m) tall.

More than 250,000 people are expected to watch the free event over the weekend.

The diver's hair is made from horsehair, eyelashes of broom hair and his eyes are streetlamp lights moved by small motors.

The event was inspired by a 1912 letter written by a 10-year-old Liverpool girl to her father who died on the Titanic.

The Little Girl, Uncle and Xolo the dog were reunited at Kings Dock, where they will sleep together until the event gets under way again on Sunday.
