Man charged with murder of Marc Clarke in Bebington

Cordoned off area in Bebington Parts of Teehey Lane were cordoned off while police investigate the stabbing

A man has been charged with murdering a man who was stabbed to death on a Merseyside street on Friday afternoon.

Marc Clarke, 43, of Bebington, Wirral, was attacked on Teehey Lane in Bebington and later pronounced dead in hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple stab wounds.

Steven Branscombe, 42, of Boswell Street, Birkenhead, has been charged with murder and is due at Wirral Magistrates' Court on Monday.
