Marc Clarke named by police as Bebington murder victim

Cordoned off area in Bebington Parts of Teehey Lane have been cordoned off while police investigate the stabbing

A man who was stabbed to death on a Merseyside street has been named.

Marc Clarke, 43, of Bebington was attacked on Teehey Lane in Bebington on Friday afternoon and later pronounced dead in hospital.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple stab wounds. A 42-year-old Birkenhead man has been arrested in connection with the murder.

Police said the murder may have been filmed by passers-by and have asked anyone with footage to contact them.

A spokesman said there had been a large number of people in the area at the time of the incident.

Parts of Teehey Lane have been cordoned off while the police investigation takes place.
