Birkenhead man arrested in Bebington murder inquiry

A 42-year-old man from Birkenhead has been arrested in connection with the murder of another man in Merseyside.

Police officers were called to Teehey Lane in Bebington at about 15:00 GMT following reports of a stabbing.

A man, who police believe is from the area, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers are trying to establish the identity of the victim. Parts of Teehey Lane have been cordoned off while police investigate the stabbing.
