A teenager has appeared in court charged with murdering a 21-year-old man in Liverpool.

Thomas McInerney, 21, from Walton, was found lying in County Road at about 03:30 BST on 23 October. He died from multiple stab wounds, police said.

Sean Rogan, of Chepstow Street, in Walton, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court earlier.

He was remanded in custody and a provisional trial date was set for next April.
