'Stormy' city meeting over cuts


Protesters gathered outside Liverpool Town Hall as the council held a public consultation meeting on how it could save £102m from its budget over the next three years.

Many demonstrators called for the city to set an illegal budget in defiance of the government, as the Militant group had done in the 1980s.
