Two arrested after Anfield killing of Edward Pybis

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a man who was shot dead in a car in Liverpool.

Edward Pybis, known locally as Eddie, was sitting in a silver Volvo on Utting Avenue, Anfield, on 3 January when he was shot in the chest.

The 20-year-old, of Norris Green, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on 9 January.

A 25-year-old man, from Walton, and a 35-year-old man, from Toxteth, were taken into custody on Monday.

They are now being questioned by detectives at separate police stations on Merseyside.

Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information about the shooting.
