A call centre company has pledged to create hundreds of jobs in Wirral with a multi-million pound expansion plan.
The Contact Company, based in Birkenhead, has grown from 15 employees four years ago to 120 and now wants to create a further 244 jobs.
Wirral Council Leader Jeff Green said it was "fantastic news" that so many jobs were being created in "an unemployment hotspot".
The company will occupy the new offices in the Queensgate from November.
Chief executive Asif Hamid said: "The purchase of Queensgate will enable us to keep growing at pace while continuing to provide our clients with the best quality service available."
Its clients include The Jewellery Channel and Liverpool FC.
The Contact Company has been awarded a Wirral Council Think Big grant of £250,000 which will be used in the fit out of the building.
Mr Green said: "It's really important the council does everything it can to help the private sector create jobs and lead Wirral out of recession. "
