Gun not fired in Liverpool car 'shooting'

Police investigating a suspected shooting in south Liverpool have now said a gun may not have been fired.

Three men were arrested after a man in a white Seat Leon was seen firing a gun at a silver car in Mackets Lane, Halewood, at about 2210 BST on Sunday.

Police have investigated and said the incident did not involve a firearm.

The men, aged 19, 21, and 26, who were all being held on suspicion of possessing a firearm, have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Merseyside Police.
