4 September 2014 Last updated at 09:25 BST

A team of child protection experts are working together to prevent young people from being sexually exploited.

Wigan Safeguarding Children Board, which includes police, council and NHS workers, has earned praise from Ofsted for its approach to tackling grooming.

The board has a team of young people to reach out to other youngsters who have been victims or could be at risk.

It has also trained taxi drivers to spot the signs of possible exploitation. Chief Reporter Dave Guest reports for North West Tonight.
